Best Buy started rolling out a marketing email to its US customer base on May 14, 2026, advertising a 5% discount on GTA 6 pre-orders, valid May 18 through May 21. The email reveals no editions, no prices, no product pages - just the promo window. The signal is still meaningful: a major US retailer running a paid campaign with hard dates implies its pre-order pages are live or about to go live, and that Best Buy expects real volume during the window. Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed anything officially. We will update prices and direct links the moment Best Buy's GTA 6 product pages appear.

Rockstar Games hasn't announced an official date yet. Based on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, pre-orders typically open 2 to 4 months before launch. For a November 19, 2026 release, expect an opening between July and September 2026. We update this page the moment Rockstar Games announces.
How much will GTA 6 cost?
The official price isn't confirmed. As a reference, we estimate Standard Edition around $69.99 (US) / €79.99 (EU), Special $89.99 / €99.99, and Collector's $149.99 / €169.99. For console + Special Edition digital bundles, expect $519.99 / €689.99 with a PS5 Slim Digital, and $769.99 / €989.99 with a PS5 Pro 2 TB. These ranges mirror historical GTA edition gaps and current PS5 pricing, and will be adjusted at announcement time.
On which platforms can I pre-order GTA 6?
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. You'll be able to pre-order from the Rockstar Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, plus Amazon, Fnac, Micromania, GameStop and other retailers depending on your country. The PC version is expected later, with no confirmed date.
Which GTA 6 edition should I pick?
It depends on what you want. Standard if you just want the game (on disc or digital). Special if you want more story content (bonus mission, vehicles, outfits). Collector's if you want the SteelBook, art book and physical goodies on top of the Special Edition content. PS5 / PS5 Pro bundle if you don't have a current-gen console yet and would rather grab everything in one purchase, with the game delivered digitally.
Will the GTA 6 Collector's Edition be limited?
Rockstar Games has not confirmed allocation numbers, but past Collector's Editions (GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2) became hard to find at retail price quickly after launch. Can I cancel a GTA 6 pre-order?
Yes in most cases. On PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, you can cancel a digital pre-order as long as the game has not released yet (and you have not started using any post-launch unlocked content). The Rockstar Store digital policy also hinges on actual release. At Amazon, Fnac, Micromania, GameStop, you can cancel freely until the order ships.
