Rockstar reveals the GTA 6 box art and opens pre-orders on June 25

Rockstar Games has announced when Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders open: June 25. Alongside the date, the studio revealed the game's official box art.

Why June 25

GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, which puts June 25 at five months out. That fits the approach Strauss Zelnick has described for months: start marketing and pre-orders four to five months before release. The studio will make a second announcement that day: the game's official price.

Pre-orders will open on digital storefronts and at a selection of retailers, after months of placeholder listings and insider rumors. On platforms, nothing new: GTA 6 is expected on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version to follow later, no date yet.
