Frequently asked questions about GTA 6 missions and walkthroughs

How many main missions does GTA 6 have?

The exact count will only be confirmed at launch. For reference, GTA V shipped with 69 main missions. GTA 6 is structured around several acts with two playable protagonists, so the total should land at least at the same level. The mission index is updated entry by entry as the community finishes the game.

How do you get the gold medal on each GTA 6 mission?

GTA 6 gold medals will most likely follow the GTA V pattern: accuracy, timing, damage taken, hidden objectives. Every walkthrough lists the required objectives, the optimal order to chain them, and the recommended weapons or vehicles. A lot of gold runs are lost on a single bad reflex, so critical checkpoints are highlighted up-front.

Are there missable missions in GTA 6?

Yes. As in every GTA, some side missions only unlock during a limited window and disappear if you push the story too fast. Every missable mission gets a dedicated badge in the codex, and the index proposes a recommended order so nothing is lost.

Should you play Lucia or Jason first?

GTA 6 alternates between both protagonists based on the storyline, the same way GTA V did with Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Missions are triggered by the script, so each entry shows who plays it, and our guides explain how to switch freely between the two to optimize farming and exploration.
